Detailed itinerary of the two days Murchison Falls National Park

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park, do an afternoon Boat cruise and hike to the top of the Falls.

Your 2-day Murchison Falls National Park Uganda adventure safari starts early in the morning. Wake up as early and be ready by 6am. Our Uganda safari driver will pick you from your hotel/ residence before 6am. You will embark on your journey driving northward to Murchison Falls National Park through Masindi, a journey that will take you about 5 hours.

Upon arrival in the park, you will go for Lunch at one of the lodges and then get prepared for a boat cruise which starts at 2pm. The boat cruise takes a duration of about 2 hours viewing crocodiles, the many hippos along the bank and in the river, the birds, monkeys, buffaloes, elephants. This makes it one of the best wildlife view experiences in Uganda. After the boat cruise, you will hike to the top of the falls. Being at the top of the falls is spectacular because it gives you chance of hearing the falls roar making it a wonderful experience. This is a place where tourists take the most memorable pictures as well as taking in of the sounds and sights, including the Murchison Falls rainbow that appears 24/7. It is created by the mist formed by the falls.

After all activities for the day, transfer to your lodge for your dinner and rest for the next day.

Day 2: Morning game drive in Murchison falls – back to Kampala 

After your breakfast early in the morning, your Uganda safari driver guide will pick you at your lodge and take you for the early morning game drive across the savannah, along Lake Albert Delta slowly as the sun rises. During your game drive, you will see the abundant wildlife in Murchison Falls National Park especially the big 4 wild game, birds, hippos, warthogs, giraffes, among others.

After the game drive, you will cross the Nile river by ferry then drive heading back to Kampala. You will make a stopover somewhere for your Lunch.
